A field lies before me,
white amongst the mown
grasses where birds fight to
find and hoard the squirm
of a worm.

A field of souls, countless
souls. Laid to rest amongst
the tears and sadness, the
whispers of a child. Asking
a mother “where is Daddy”?

Stones that stand as testaments
to those that rest.  Saying to
the world that this is where
warriors, brave men and women
lie.  Laud them, applaud them,
bow reverently to them. For they
are our heroes....and be not
afraid to cry....

For tears were shed at their birth
and fittingly should be at their death...

God bless them all...

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

I am remembering.  Thank you, Barry, for the gentle touch.  Just whispers. ~ Klassy
