As I Build The Stronger Me My writing had been the key To that once locked door I opened it a few years ago Emotions started to pour Useless was ingrained in me All those many years ago From past emotional abuse Confidence I had to grow I had to overcome the effects Of years feeling unworthy I am what counts in the end The abusers failed to see Helping me over each hurdle I embrace in my creativity Writing gave me the choice As I build the stronger me Hope ©2006 Link to the poem with music and graphic below http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/101/poem_8335131.html |
