Standing close to you with my arm around your shoulder in understanding. It does not ever seem right to have to bear the sorrow you are holding up under now. Know that you have friends here who care. sincerely martyjo

Beki, words cannot adequately express all the different emotions that I feeling. Yes, there is relief that his struggle is over but I am also feeling the incredible sadness that you must be experiencing. Just know, that my thoughts and love are with you all. God speed, Caleb! Your family and friends are missing you.

With him now being in spirit, he will be even closer to you in some ways.

Love & Eternal Light ~ and a warm embrace,

The anguish of losing a child, no matter the age, is unimaginably unbearable.  May you find solace in his peace and free flight and may he comfort you and reassure you of his release from pain and suffering.

God bless you and grant you peace and understanding.

He was only 22. We found out he had cancer 7 months ago and it was already so advanced there was little to be done but he taught us a lot about strength and courage. It has been  the most difficult thing I have ever had to do to g through these last months, and words eluded me - I could not write no matter how hard I tried.

I miss him so much already. But I have been missing him for some time as the cancer took more and more of him, who he was, away. I am of course glad he is no longer in pain, he wa sin so much pain at the end. I imagine him running in heaven with his long hair back and flowng behimd him. Thank you all for your kind words.

Stepping in and joining this never ending circle of love and caring that is surrounding you and yours now Beki. I am sure that Caleb has been lifted upon angel wings, and that angels are surrounding each of you.

Beki...

from my heart's losses...to yours.

It will never be understood...

but like many of us here, you will
continue on to give, as you always have...

in his honor...

hugging you, little one.

Beki,
I lost my daughter without warning. Though the outcome is the same I do not have your experience and can only offer you my sincerest condolences. I pray you find strength, hope and courage though the pain never goes away there is satisfaction in celebrating their life. I would love to hear about him and what he meant to you, your family and friends. Feel free to write to me.
Peace.

Let not thee greave for deaths embrace
For it is the end of quick confusion
Let only for thine mind to be free from tricks
The touch of skin, the taste of wine, the scent of lovers
For they are but the chains that bind thee
Let free your understandings before thee die
And thou shalt become a bird of the open cage
Neither held by time or spoken words
Given the gift of infinities embrace
A life more full of transcendent mind
For without distraction of other senses
Thou willst not live, but be till end of time
And be the parts of all the universe
Stretching bounds that nye can tell
But in this realm rules may be well
So different and confusing time will take
For all unknowns are forever fake
Until it’s seen by those who witness its fruition
So ‘till then make no long face
Thou must not greave for deaths embrace

My heart cries with yours.  Keep that picture of Caleb running happily around heaven with the breeze in his hair. It's those thoughts that help us through the grieving process.

Thank God for the 22 years you had him to teach, love, laugh and share life.

God bless you and yours

No words I write, will allow you to know how deeply I feel for your loss.  I thank God that he allowed you the little time he did to have your son with you.

No words...there are no words that can possibly help, but if there were, they would be yours. Aching with these many friends, and every one of us wishing we could make some difference, but knowing we can't, not for a time, if ever.

I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of the love and caring here...I feel part of a very big group hug and even though we know words can't really help,my heart knows a litle ease from the unspeakable pain I am living with now.I have not been a regular part of this community for some time but every time I return I feel like I have come home in some significant way. throughout his illness I was unable to write anything.....there were no words to say what I was feeling.Pretty much they still elude me but I hope now for their return. If I cannot write my poetry, what is left? And in th e end what is there really to say? I loved my son...beyond and measure of this world...and he loved me. It was my pleasure and my privilage to care for him the last couple of months since we brought him home from the hospital (he was there 5 months) and I am proud I was able to keep him home till the end.I did not want him to die in a hospital and I was able to give him that at least.Thank you all fo ryour caring and your love. I really truly do appreciate it.
