Hobbling

I’ve hobbled me some weighty stones
About my flesh and fragile bones
To free my spirit of access
Those phantoms that have caused duress

The jumping of my state of mind
The breaking starts to sate and find
Causing me a minds disdain
Filling me with strain and pain

It seems I seek the Golden Fleece
The golden path to true of peace
Something that will clean the core
And strip me of the beast of awe

I’ve bailed illusions fantasy
And sailed a life of argosy
I’ve worn away my age of prime
On teeter boards of passing time

I’ve even searched Pandora’s Box
But all I found was paradox

Thoughtful poem, Sir. I love the paradox of Pandora's Box.

Pandora's Box...a contradiction of terms, heh?  I like this diddy, nice rhythmic motion.  Thanks for sharing.  Liz...Carpe Diem
