In the Place Where a Dark Temple Grew

Leap to it and bounce
the tree is measuring the rain
each shake of leaf a thousand blessings
they fall     music to my heated listening

The window is open to my heart
cushioned within this comfort
I want to walk out into it with my quiet
and stop the blade of grass for just a minute
stop it from its bejeweled contemplation of day
then take its meaning
folded and perfect
and speak of secrets

And for what give up the right
to feel the great mountain?
The sifting of the dirt is within me
and I feel the chasm in my head
the place where a dark temple grew
is now empty
the mountain quakes within its solitude
and brings into being a kind of joy
that I didn't have before
that I thought I lost
oh glory....it is found

Absolutely beautiful Martie...
almost, but not quite as beautiful as your heart.

You sparkle again.....and that is so very good to see! My second-biggest worry for you just got smoked....the first biggest already did, when you came through the surgery and woke to the world again. That you are coming back in poetry now, oh it is such a fine thing........

Have to agree with Ed..it is joyous to see you posting again..and with a new found freedom..or at least it feels that way..you are emancipated from the dark temple holding you captive...walk into the light..feel the sunshine on your face..and every nuance of nature..every pastel shade of wild flowers and fill your soul...just remember to write about it..so we can enjoy it..even if it is just a glimpse...thank you...

Sis~

This ... this is true Martiesque~

'I want to walk out into it with my quiet
and stop the blade of grass for just a minute
stop it from its bejeweled contemplation of day
then take its meaning
folded and perfect
and speak of secrets'

Oh yes ... bejeweled contemplation of the poetic day ... this is a day of rejoicing~
And so I do~

Martie,  with each day you improve...and
before we know it,  the shine of you will
once again be brilliant and filled with
wisdom and euphoric words from your heart.

Such a special poem, little one...

when our passion is returned to us,
in most unexpected ways...

now is the time to indulge,
and as all becomes better
through healing
and more...

it will soon be time to heed those
who knew, who said, yes, this!
is one of those to place
between the leaves
of the yet-to-be.

Martie, I walked through every word of this exquisite poem with you and feel with you how you came through the fire burnished even brighter than before!  I am so sorry for your pain, but so very glad for your gain.  How we are all celebrating having you back again, as good and better than before!
