A Poet Can . . .

26 September 2005

A Poet can never
be sorry to someone
he loves so much

He can never find
comfort in his
expression of pain

For what was a poem
but a factor of thought
Those feelings of words
to a page - or other way sought

A Poet can be sorry for
many things - but not to
that of true poetry

Because if the Poet was
then who would the Poet be
Not a Poet - neither of the above
although in a Poet’s eyes
like will always be LOVE

"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love
the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
Mark 12: 29-31 KJV

Very nice Chris, you have nothing to be sorry about my man, this is good. Cheers    - Ed

I will ask you once more for my insanity back; and after that I shall be forced to play tennis. Now give it to me before I do something rash!

Chris, you know, I really miss being able to write poetry when I'm struggling with writers block. Often poetry is a reflection of one's inner thoughts. I think it can be hard to find comfort when pain is what comes through one's pen, yet I have also found comfort in compassionate hearts that love and also find expression through poetry.  We poets are quite a wondrous group, aren't we?

A very thought filled write....
