There will be no tears for the sad ones
Or the lone baby who’s been slaughtered
Why do men want death and shoot life with guns
Kill the children, men and even mothers
For what and for whom, are we killing for
Would they not strangle life from cribbed babies?
How could this of been, where are we heading towards
So soon to forget all the evils in man
With smiles on faces betting on death
One hundred yards and a six gun in hand
Blow the leg off a babe that’s what it gets
Being a child of a downtrodden race
The crying of ancients who died all alone
Pushed so swiftly to some secluded place
Only to see a great hell on their home
Killed all their children and stabbed mother earth
They’re far from the seasons stopping her birth

VERY powerful, impactful and thought-provoking sonnet...I think every good person with a compassionate heart questions all these things, it's a sad reality of life that should never have been.

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

It is very powerful and alarming.  How does mankind stand for it?  A quandary, for sure.
