Just another old scribbling that I uncovered last night.  I've stuck everything else in here...may as well do the same with this one.

No One Knows What Tommorow Holds
    *******************

I used to play it safe,

Cautious,
like commiting a crime..

Waiting,
for some kind of sign.

Clever come-ons
would come to mind.

They've all stood the test of time.

But, I don't have a line
to try on you.

I just want to spend some
time with you.

To waste time would be
a crime with you.

I want to share
my heart and mind with you.

And I hope the things I say
won't cause you to shy away.

Scare you,
thinking I move too fast

These words are meant to join,
not to sever.

I've had loves that were forever,

and forever didn't last.

So...
I really want to know you.

But I'm afraid to take it slow.

I really want to hold you.

And no one knows...

What tomorrow holds.

A beautiful song of longing and indeed to speak clearly is important, carpe diem! Too much shyness and caution are the other extreme of being too daring. There is always the golden middle way. And to say it with a poem is a wonderful means to show the desire of your heart.

Love,
Margherita

love is similar to art work...
when you choose the art work, will you want it forever, or will trends later change your mind, growing tired of it...

Or will you view it as a precious part of your world, something you wouldn't trade or compromise the relationship for...

Something someone once told me, brought this to mind...

now me, when it comes to love, I'm a cross country runner
