WIDOWER'S DAY

I think of you
sometimes
in the morning
when the islands are dressed
in a negligee of mist

I think of you
sometimes
in the afternoon
when the heat of the day
brings the water to whitecaps

I think of you
sometimes
in the heart of the night
when I stand on the dock
and the stars are in the lake

If this is personal, my small gift of sadness for your intense sorrow.  Your poem is poignantly painted with the brush of a master.

A powerful longing poignantly and softly written....especially liked the imagery of the first stanza.

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!
