Engraved upon my thin skin,
and buried deep within,
the etchings of you
bleed through.

I can't stop them.
Even when I try,
they seep through my pores,
as if all my soul's doors
were wide open to you.

And in the darkest moments
when I am positive
you are not real,
I feel
you
holding me,
never scolding me.

Those are the moments
I know your art

is true.

Oh !  ::sighs::   Yes!
This is so lovely.
An astoundingly heartfelt write!
Thank you for this blessing.

While I am here, I would also like to thank you for placing the first thoughts of tanka into my being.
I had not written haiku, senryu, or tanka until I came to PiP.
It was through your reply to my first haikus that I learned of tanka.
I'm still trying to adjust to the form and sometimes lose it on the pivot line...but I enjoy it so very much.
Were it not for those three forms...I would most likely not be writing anymore at all.
Thank you so much.
