           YOU cry out for Peace
But as long as there is "you"
           Peace will never come
"You" sees those "other than you"
Peace will come when there is One

                     *

            Should I take a stick
          And angrily beat my hand
             For poking my eye?
        Bringing more pain to myself?
       Love your neighbor as yourself.

Dear Uriah,

Thanks for this write.  Our neigbors are mirrors in which we reflect ourselves.

May the awareness grow!

You say the truth and very powerfully so!

Wow, powerful, very wise - all should take heed to your words.

I'm unsure of how many tankas, haikus or senryus you've penned or posted here, but, would you ever consider publishing a book of them?  I'd purchase the book for sure!   You truly do have talent!

Thank you all for reading and for your replies.

Honeybee,
If by chance I show some talent in this form...Much credit goes to our precious Midnitesun.  It was due to one of her replies, where she asked if I wrote Tanka, that I first became aware of of the form.
I had never wriiten Tanka, Haiku or Senryu until I came to PiP.
Whether there is "talent" or not.... I do enjoy these three forms very much.  They seem to rest easy upon me and within me.
Like a part of me...That should have been there all along.  I am so blessed by and grateful for this site and all of those here.

Thank You.

Uriah, what beautiful word gifts you've given us. I agree, we must believe we are ONE.
All I did was mention a form...you've put heart and soul into learning how to use it.
Thank you so much, for your words.

I may be wrong, but I believe that Namaste means "We are one".  I love that concept and your 2 tankas.
