Was past midnight
on flyday,

keys and strings
still breezing
at the bar,

while those
that lingered,
sipped the
bottom
of their straws,

and me and him
sat roadside,

in the respite
of his honda

was there i told him

between the bites
of conversation
and his wilting
bag of peanuts

was there i told him,
in lieu of
what my loins
held inward,

my heart
would now release
in rhyming color

bursting out,
in accepella,
in the sacred hours
before the dawn,

of how i had adored him

and all the stuff
that makes him,

makes the stuff
in me

GO GAGA

and in the moments
followed,

as i'm thinking
sipping java,

sitting solo,

knowing all
that left my lips
had now been
kissed upon
the stars,

without regards
to should or should nots,

for he was rendered
speechless, cept for
' have another peanut'

so bless the farmers
and the markets

and the intervention
of the peanuts

and whatever
constellations
may now be forming

from the gift
of faith
i offered,

in my plea
upon the stars.

Adoration from words written with style..enjoyed the sheer love behind the words..waiting in the wings for it's grand entrance...thank you..

inkedgoddess
an appropriate nick. I enjoyed the short
lines with much meaning. This was bitter
sweet to me.
enjoyed,

Oh I love this, exquisite writing here - and I echo Uriah's exuberant words!

How exquisite, you have reached for the stars and they let you use their finest stardust to write your poem.

Love and hugs.
