Your clothes are torn
chest pounding
pulse racing
after the thrill of a lifetime
jumping off a waterfall.


Swimming underwater
the sun slices through
shining on a coral reef
as I gasp in wonder
holding my breath.


After some air
I dive back under
to see a baby fish
sitting on my belly button
waiting for a quick ride.


Underwater here
everything is new
so gentle and pure
when I swim through
surrounded by liquid sunshine.
