I learned today my sister is in a hosptial and fighting for her life.  I picked up an old poem and rewrote it with her condition in my mind, but mostly my heart.  This poem is for her, her family, but most of all for me.

Weavings on Dark's Loom

The sun embarked forthwith from my espy
And sailed far to another day's debut
(While painting skies with its enchanting hue)
As Mother Nature sang her lullaby.
The sky's sacred scene faded with night's nigh
As twilight's echoes waned mid their adieu
Through mountian valleys.  Nightfall's cryptic view
Of darkness rested on earth with a sigh.

The darkness deepened with dire dreary gloom
As heavy-laden clouds blew from afar;
And yet I knew, hope dwelt within dark's womb!

In "Promises' Rest", through a door ajar
Mid the dark clouds awry, I spied a loom
With weavings of light's thread: ... the evening star!

Heaven's blessings on you, sister. I love you!

Yes, blessings upon your sister, and prayers from your new family at Passions.  It is odd at times, how we write something years ago, and prophetic it seems to come, or fit, in todays needs.

We will stand with you, Brother John...and our prayers will sustain you and your sister and all of the family.

I am saddened by that news of your sister. My thoughts and prayers are with her ~ and you.

I would also like to echo Sunshine's comments. I feel the same way about everything she wrote in her reply.
