A Man That She Could Care For

I thought that she honestly cared for me
but apparantly she was just evaluating me,
and I failed to perform to her standards.

To this day I wish that I was the man
that she could care for.

There will come a day when
I will understand.

maybe
maybe not
but it doesn't matter really
does it?
if we understand or not
sometimes
that's just the way
the cookie crumbles
and there is nothing we can do
except remember the tasty crumbs

"There will come a day when
I will understand."

But you see James, once you understand love, it is no longer love. I enjoyed this poem.

Does anyone truely understand love? Its amazing when its two sided and can rip the heart out one sided. Perhaps your pain today is leading you towards a true love of tomorrow! Perhaps it was just not meant to be because something better is out there and waiting. Move forward and find someone deserving!

Perhaps something that wasn't going to work out didn't.

Something that will workout, may.

The difference can be as fine as a hair, or as wide as the media living off lies

I always used to reckon that if it got passed three months, it would last two years, and then I was proved wrong, when it survived and still does, with battles of words when we both lose our tempers that can last a couple of days until we calm down  and realise we still like each other and my wife complains about her teeth as I make her laugh.

Love has its alohas and its alohas! The hello aloha sure beats the heck out of the goodbye aloha!

Love is not for us to reason why ~ because it is impossible to understand!

Your poem provoked some interesting replies!
