A simple gesture
a random act of kindness
bestowed on an empty soul,

you reached right in
and took hold
bonds tied
not by apron strings

but through threaded words.

In silent nights
of starry skies
you dreamed with me
and when the sun
was darkened by
clouds of day
you showered your light

lighting my way.

I did not know your touch
but I felt you holding my hand...
when my tears fell
I felt you brush them away
as any mother would
when giving love to her child...

Mother...
I could not claim that sacred name
for my own
but I cherished it in this heart
that has been touched
with the love
of you...

{reposted, because I can
with much love to a woman who has touched me as much as the mother that I never knew..
with much love... I dedicate this to you again, so that you will know, you are always here in my heart...   }

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Those words

No matter how we managed our relationships with our Mother

Are well said

Another moving tribute, brought a tear to my eye - very powerful, sincere write.  She obviously left a lovely legacy...

How could she not be so wonderful to such a wonderful gentle spirit, Gentle Spirit!  (I'm very glad she did, anyway!)

Donna...Mother is a word, yes, but more it is a sacred relationship and can hold such special love there.
