.

.
Babies are prayers.   Mothering is prayer.
Each tasting kiss,  each chattering
diaper change..each worn red sandal   putting on   pulling off
each rambling invented story,   each whispered
convincing promise.   The cradles
we make of our voices ~ rocking ~ rocking
may this remain just so   may we all be here   may we
do this  again   and again   and again
tomorrow and
forever.

.

oh, you brought on Alice in Wonderland... I can't blink fast enough to stop the tears.  Mothers and childen, that place where love is, where love grows, where love develops wings...

I am a mother, a grandmother--but you know, I am missing my moms.  LOL  I had a few...lucky me!

Happy Mother's day to you, my enchanted friend!  ~ ~ Klassy

tomorrow and
forever.

My first Mother's Day without a living mother, because my own mother died in early March 2006. She would have been 80 years old on May 20, 2006

yet "Tomorrow and Forever" are truly my mother all the way to eternity.

Enchantress,

Beautiful choice of painting, thought, and words.  You conjured many familiar images here, leaving me practically rocking
and singing a lullaby!  Very gentle writing.

sincerely,

Such a lovely write, Nancy, to bring on a mother's tears.  Being a mother is great privilege - I sometimes wonder what I did to deserve the blessing of three fine sons.  May every day be a happy mother's day for you.
