Five Blocks To Paradise

On Tropicana, I stopped at a
Chevron to top off my rental car.

Right across the street,
the Liberace Plaza and the
Good Times Night club & Bar.

How much further to the airport,
to the clerk I so inquired.

Go five blocks to Paradise,
and make a left, he replied.

Turning left onto Paradise,
sets me to thinking,
this is not the Paradise
that my heart desires.

This was written when I
was feeling blue headed
home from Laughlin.
A few days fun and
relaxation in Laughlin/
Vegas may seems like
paradise for some.
