                                    The Assembly

             A confident young man with bang straggling eyes

      Reviewed a little with his teacher before he heard her sigh.

               “What is a simile?” she said with a smile

         He thought for a minute; he thought for a mile.

                                       So…

  SHE thought SHE could trick HIM!  Now, he’d think EXTRA deep!

              “Asimile is when the school gets together and

             Listens to steel drums when moving to their beat!”

                     A straight face she did hold,

              Though a belly laugh inside her rolled;

              Then, back to the drawing board they went

                From a former teacher I’ve been told.

Glad you found it funny.   It's just one of those stories that have to be written down.  Kids say the funniest things!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll stop at your post later this evening.  Have lots to do before I leave work...
