If you could be a shoestring
You could wing it all the way
And come untied and take a trip
To the Virgin Islands on that day.

To be a shoe string…
Oh, ‘tis your dream come true!
To pursue it through the eyelets
Stuff it in the shoe!
      (oo.  P.U.!)
{On the finger, an odor for detect...
Perhaps on the type of string
We should give reflect!}

Better to be a string of pearls,
Necking through the day!
When caressing dressing on the neckling
Time does walk away.

ConSlithering the tongs of fork
It is “Spaghetti,” I hear you say;
The slips and slides of slimy strings
Provoking one to food fore play.

If you care to line along
To share your favorite “string”,
We’ll sum along the sillies
To enjoy and send some grins.

I left my string bikini
on the clothesline one sunny day
along came a blackbird
and stole that thing away

so let this be a lesson
not to hang those strings outside
or you might just see that blackbird
on his winged joy ride

LOL, he'd look pretty silly flying through the neighborhood with that thing hanging from his beak! actually, it was almost a true story! Though it happened to be my daughter's red sox he stole from the clothesline, not her too-tiny bathing suit.

Midnitesun,

You have GOT to write a prose about this!  It is too good of a story not to ham up!  Now, I can retire laughing and dreaming of birds wearing red socks and bikinis.  Too much!!!  What a hoot!

LOL, that old blackbird got the best of me more than once. He cracked a walnut on the top of my car. It was a red Toyota Corolla, parked underneath a pine tree. That bird usually just crapped on the top of the car. But one day, he got me good. He dropped a walnut on the windshield. LOL, I love birds, but would have shot him outta that tree if I'd had anything to shoot with. Hmm, maybe I shoulda used that bikini as a sling shot!

my guitar strings must need to be replaced
cuz the notes from this thang twang wrong
and sound as if they come from another planet
it can't possibly have anything
to do with the fact I am not
an accomplished guitar player
cuz my violin has a similar problem
as does the cello and the harp
I must have a talk with the manufacturers
they can't seem to get these string things done up right
and I am really getting
strung out about it

This is so good it is a dream of imagination, thought

Words seem a 'joke' for the images as the images write words
