I am a hip hop artist and write my verse poetic...let me know if this is a good start for a poem....

Definition of a Poet (11sylables)

Swift gentle strokes formulate compositions
Put people in awe like art exhibitions
Fueled by prolific thoughts exhale emotion
It's a still picture soon launched into motion

Photographic caputuring you in a 'flash'
Diving past reality without a spalsh
I'm not down to earth my, head's high in the stars
Foremost goal,to help those heal internal scars

Words hold the complexties of genetics
Deciphered with the theories of aesthetics
Takes time to understand like hieroglyphics
Secret police issue me Pyro~tickets

Poetically I consume the brainswashed thought
Then spit out wonder leaving the masses taught
As soon as my work beging to open eyes
Censorship awakens and begins to rise

Your rhythm is so prominent and incredible,
keep posting, I'll be watching for it.

welcome to Passions
where yes indeedy, newbie sweetie
that redline marker sometimes will rear
it's censorship head,
and sometimes, it instills fear

but more often than not
it is justified right
in order to keep these boards
readable by a wide multitude

~an enjoyable read~

A good start..censorship can happen at times...but a good poet can skillfully get his/her message across almost without people knowing..you will see if you think about it..all words can be substituted...by ones perhaps seldom used now..welcome to PIP...a HIP HOP poet you may be..but do try other expression..you may have a flare for other styles..thank you for these words..
