In the morning sky
pirouettes by design
the gulls of brooklyn

rise,

but this day
forgets us,

the dialect,
watered down

and the bridge
where travolta
did the hustle,
is dim
as the lady of the harbor,
swallowed up
in this wraparound fog;

its 3 years gone
where we once sat
sipping merlot
chatting bout the walrus,
lamenting last kisses
when we had to say
'see ya next time'

where once we layed
in checkerboard fields,
between concrete
playgrounds, and
springtime green

where dandelions
collapse now.

Like us
i confess,

everything
has its time.

Oh inkedgoddess! It's superb. I love your "wraparound fog."

You sure can set a scene in a readers eye...
I can hear them as they wheel above, turning like hands on a clock...

You write with such a wonderful flair, oh Golden Goddesss.

and I swear, each and every time I let myself believe and then the time expires and I am somewhat confused....
