Rewrite:

Doxology

We all search for the golden ring
We’re all cut from a silver string
Some search in and some search out
But that we search there is no doubt

Some search the sea for answers there
Some climb the mountains in despair
Some search a sacred inner zone
Some search the outer face of stone

Some treat life with a velvet glove
Some think the answer lies in love
We do the dictates of our heart
That is the most important part

Some hold the string until the end
Some twist a twist in symbols bend
And some will say we don’t exist
And some will swear there’s beyond the mist

But truth lies in Pandora’s Box
Where in lies the paradox

loved the title, and the wisdom behind your words, and in-between the lines...
Your a master teacher and I have learned this morning...

Some hold the string until the end
Some twist a twist in symbols bend
And some will say we don’t exist
And some will swear there’s beyond the mist

But truth lies in Pandora’s Box
Where in lies the paradox

Excellent!!!

Dear Ssymour,

You are making us think.  Maybe you know the answer to this one: "Where was Adam when Eve opened Pandora's box?" I think he was in the Paradox's box.

Dear Seymour,  Was it the apple on the tree or the "pair" on the ground?  I like your reply for it is more biblical. Some Jews claim the fruit was a fig.  Well, they maybe right as a FIGure of speech!

The quest for the elusive obvious.  Trying to measure our shadow...with our foot, and wondering why it never seems to end. LOL   The quest itself is the paradox.    I love this Sir Sy.    As I have loved every penning of yours. And yes...no matter what is released...beneath it all...There is Hope.    LOL    Which is also a paradox.   There was never a lacking.  :: bows ::

Your title drew me in like a song. So right, we all search. Wonderful work Sir.

They say the wit grows sharper as we grow older. I'd hate to fence with you a few years from now. Enjoyed your reply. LOL

Uriah,
Yes I smoke HOPE and eat theLOX of paradox every day. LOL

And what was the truth of Pandora's box?
Was it love or was it clocks--
WHICH was sealed beneath the lid?
...Curious lessons better left hid.

Very interesting poem, Seymour, which travels that age old question.  Why?
