       There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen;
                  Don't know how it came to be,
                Maybe crawled in through a crevice
                  That is much too small to see.

               There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen;
                    But no one seems to care.
                  Daddy's eating sweet potatoes;
                 You can bet he'll get his share.

               There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen;
                      I wonder, does it hear
                  Mama's talk about the flowers
                 That she planted this past year?

               There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen;
                  Likes the roast and gravy too.
                 It crawled across the biscuits,
                     Then into a cup it flew.

               There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen;
                  Don't know how it came to be.
               Grandpa drinks his coffee very fast;
                       Now fly is history.

I often find some poems with a main repeating line such as this

"There's a fly in Grandma's kitchen"

at times can turn out to be boring and poorly written

but that said, in reading this poem to the end, I found it a pleasant read

well done

a poet who cares
