Oh, nightengale of sweetest wail,
songbird of the moonlight
sing to me, bring to me sweet reverie,
memory of a seductive ocean breeze flowing o'er me
capriciously, free as a wind spirit should be.

Bring the warm glow of a full moon's favors,
cast aside any doubts as to the multitude of colors
which burst brilliantly in abandonment
into the darkest recessed moments of midnite,
bringing forth into the western skylight
whatever essence of life exists on this earthly plain;
without hestitation, without pretend, without remorse,
burst open, free as any majestic rainbow dreamed to be
reflecting a time honored wisdom, a reality

  ~Life~

is beautiful, even when it's ugly side is revealed
it is something to tightly hold onto, to cherish,
then sail into a satisfied sunset knowing
it was worth every single moment.

ok, ok...I KNOW I've said it before, and some where down the line will probably say it again, but this is truly (to date....)
my new favorite of yours Kacy, and that's not an easy call to make cuz I like so much of what you write but this m'dear,
is so very, very lovely!!

"The struggles make me stronger
the changes make me wise
and happiness has it's own way
of taking its sweet time
Life ain't always beautiful
but I know that I'll be fine....
life ain't always beautiful
but it sure is a beautiful ride..

Thanking each of you. I wrote and posted this just prior to hearing about a wonderful man's untimely death. I knew he was in a life/death struggle in ICU, but truly expected him to miraculously pull through. Life is precious. On the other side of this, it happened about the same time I received word poet Martie was going to be going home after successful brain tumor surgery.
Any way you look at it, life is precious, even in its darkest hours.

I must agree this is one of your best!!!!!!!
And I really like these lines:

"is beautiful, even when it's ugly side is revealed
it is something to tightly hold onto, to cherish,
then sail into a satisfied sunset knowing
it was worth every single moment."

"~Life~

Sometimes the ugly side of life bears the most beauty. This poem is beautiful from both sides Kacy.
