Though this is not a poem...it's just a thanks....and please, don't anyone interpret my last few posts as trying to seek attention or even "kudos"...the two folks I've written about....Lady Chipmunk and Rebecca "WhtDove" were two of the kindest sweetest folks I've ever had the pleasure to know......for those of you that are new to this board, I'm so sorry you never had the chance to meet two of the kindest, sweetest, and talented people this board has ever known....and, if you've read the replies to my posts...you know that I'm not alone in this opinion.....thanks...

Listening to every heart

The many thanks
you leave us with
comes from a heart
so filled with gifts

the joy of faces
now long gone
is carried by voice
and thread of song

You've brought them back
to us, this day,
in your quiet,
special ways

So our thanks to you,
for remembering them,
as they wander
valleys and glens.

Thank you, Toe.

ToeMan~
Such rare gifting
to these boards you bring
Taking pause to remember
such beautiful things
The angels who flitted
among these pages blue
recalled poetically
now by you~

A precious thing
it is that you do
to give us memories on wing
of those who caused
our hearts to sing~

Love you, ToeMan~
(and thank you from the heart of my little bottom)

The harsh tribulations
That these ladies faced
Was met with great kindness
For others and grace
That never lessened
No matter how bad their day.
They shared goodness and smiles
For that was their way.
Thank you for recalling
The memories they left
Tears might fill our eyes
And we may feel bereft
But they truly were treasures
And we know we were blessed
To have had our lives touched
By these best of the best.

I stumbled on this place at just about the time it was getting started....and being even more shy then than I am these days, I didn't join. I missed so very much!

Dear Toe,

I did not know these women, but I have appreciated everything of yours that I've read!  The smiles are you bring are wonderful and so have been the memories for other people.  I think that is what Poets do best--give heartfelt reflections on the heart, which carries many sentiments.

Toe...How could anyone think you were trying to call attention to yourself for remembering and honoring two wonderful ladies. I think you reminded us of how much they are missed, after all they were and still are members of our family.

Many days I think of both of these wonderful ladies and only wish I had met them in person.

Before Lyra's passing I wrote a poem for her and have often thought about reposting it, but like you I don't want to call attention to myself.

Thanks again for the memory...Paul

So the Toe has a tender side,
It ain't that hard to abide.

I pray that when it is my time to go,
That I'll be gone before Toe.

It would make my heart swell with pride,
To be remembered by him on this side.

And don't worry about how you're understood,
We know it's about the only time you are good.

So, as usual, feel free to throw caution to the wind,
You can't ruin your reputation in the end.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Dear Toe, posting those beautiful tributes to two beautiful ladies, only proofs you have a great heart dear friend.

I often reread the poems Lyra wrote and my own poems written for her and I often say hello to her when the sun is shining bright.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow
