They stood like warriors erect from war walking in shadows they all marched finding what they did and hide favors they got away watching them I take my breath and fading to the night, they wait for enemies to sight looking for patrol they ride begining to take leave and bride women for whom they take to wife watching as warriors for the light flowers fill there gated walk leaning on pillars not stronger lonely fallen angels plead again warriors, they return with smiles |
