When sleep digs fingers in and agitates the mind
the day becomes a mystery of many thoughts combined
and it’s easy to go crazy with the sifting and the sorting
knowing all the while that at the finish line
I have to stand in ownership of all and everything.

The weight cannot be measured except by the feel
and it masses in the mind its multiplied concoction
as a test of my ability to spot unwanted matter
and shoot it like a rocket into the hands of Time.

Catch it, Time – catch it!  Perhaps keep it down inside
until death o’er-lays the mind of a woman now denied
because a barely make-shift life crumbles into dust
when moved off the track by many thoughts combined.

Let not the walk and fight towards my authentic self
become lost within the mix of what the spirits bring
and given voice this beg and plead must surely manifest
because love is on the side of a crazy mind.

Catch it and resurface it another time, dear Time,
crush it to a pulp in the grip of last goodbyes,
but don’t deny forever that many thoughts combined
exist to keep a woman/man alive to love’s desire …
until, until, until like then we ride the sky again!

your thoughts may be many but when combined, they brew one very powerful write and poem

Thanks LeeJ.  I've been missing you here.  I guess "right combinations" must account for many splendid things and I don't mean that to apply to my ramblings but to other things out there.
