Moving To Open Water

Your views term the harsh of reality
Holding me close, then turning away in finality
Through the remnants of a vicious storm
Tattering your heart to rags of forlorn
But for the vital, dampening power of faith

Listening to you spill out the pour of pain
Piercing, unrelenting, such suffering rain
Let flowing upon me, still I remain

Do you think me brave? Naïve?
My tears fall freely, so that yours may
It is the whole of you I love this way
What the storm curses, to let fall without harm
As the wounds gorge, stillness, absent alarm

For to love means taking precious to pursue
Revealing of friend, hulls a ship strong by two
Not only holding on but also helping through

And whatever comes, affection prevails
Standing the guard as the darkness exhales
Facing the tears, that longing endears
For the moment returns, and a gray sunrise clears

prevails....for a moment.

Sometimes that is what keeps up going until the next moment.

WOW this is powerful writing! I love these lines:

"And whatever comes, affection prevails
Standing the guard as the darkness exhales
Facing the tears, that longing endears
For the moment returns, and a gray sunrise clears"

This is a most beautiful,  sad, heart wrenching write.  So many powerful lines,
such feelings written within.  I envy you,
I feel for you.
