Sequential, Eventuality, and Understanding…

I awake with a sweet sadness,
Void of emotions, worry, or memories,
Leaving me with slithers, bits, and pieces
Of the day before or the last day yet to come
Where I can see flickers of a still life,
Surreal like a boat framed in glass and water,
Floating quietly along the river Euphrates;
But the next part of the dream is blurred,
And I can’t shake the dirt that soils my soul,
Because I want to know the truth without seeing,
And to awaken but never dream;
So, to the endlessness of possibilities
I drop these tears to form invisible threads of hope,
Pulling myself out of this selfish haze,
To see the sun smiling into the eyes of eternity…
It is all starting to make sense,
As God lovingly breathes in this new day,
Comforting my heart with a spring breeze,
Slowly teaching me to be humble.

Marcel

God made the April rain, to cleanse and prepare for the warmth of May.
So beautiful Keith.
