(Lately, I've been trying to write love and longing poems from a woman's point of view, or imagining it from my dream girl's point of view. Lately I've been feeling emotional just imagining what my dream girl is going through, hoping with al my heart that she feels special and loved while still trying to find me and as I try to find her. Trying to imagine the emotional time she's going through inspired this gently melancholy song, hope you like it!)

Fewer And Further Between

.
.
.
Illustrious interludes,
linger intertwined between my every breath,
engrossed in etymology,
of turtle doves and masculine scent,
there’s a castle in your arms,
where I always feel warm and safe,
away from an often heart aching world,
of crooked smiles and ridiculing strafe.

Shuttling from station to station,
peregrinating like a colleen through a sea of cress green...

...longing to be proven wrong,
that chivalrous hearts are fewer and further between...
.
.
.
Sometimes I feel like Eurydice,
waiting for someone to return me to the sunshine,
inveigled by your heartstring sections,
candying my blood like mulled wine,
but the tragedy is told in vice-versa,
where I’m tested with faith that you’ll come to me,
where a harmless eclipse of a glimpse,
steals you back into the lonesome mystery...

Same old story with a different beginning,
with an epilogue ever the same foreseen...

...longing to be proven wrong,
that sensitive hearts are fewer and further between...
.
.
.
All I dream is if I were queen for at least a day,
could I be a may queen,
and when you convene,
and breathe,
with me,
spring slithers in like a ravine...
.
.
.
Songbirds make music of my morning walks,
meandering through the black mulberry lane,
humming hauntingly between hawthorn hedgerows,
are jonquilles watercolored in a sea-lavender haze,
yearning for the rain,
along with them my heart awaits wide awake...

As long as I hear you breathing,
you make me feel like I’m nineteen...

...proving me wrong,
that there’s caring hearts fewer and further between...
.
.
.
...my skin is fragile, my soul feels famished,
show no hesitation, just tell me something...

...reassure me,
that loving hearts aren’t fewer and further between...
.
.
.
...fewer and further between...
.
.
.
.
.
