Ne'er did I feel so manley,
As when You were in my arms
Like a piece of red hot candy,
But one of your fatal charms
Dreams I had a plenty,
Safe from all that harms
and though my house was burning,
I was deaf to all alarms

Yeah sometimes we refuse to see until our hearts break. And then time moves us on to the next heart ache.
I really enjoyed this poem

TY very much for your words of appreciation, and recognition, it is gratifying to know that someone can understands the place this comes from, and to know that we are not alone
