A request by Brother John

Forward

Forward is a thing to be
The steeping of this earthly tea
A terragueous yet to form
A thing to be but not yet born

But in the Eden of the mind
There is the sum of past to find
Pointers of the roads to come
All Filigree but not a sum

Each step we take is future bound
It’s there the future will be found
But till the time has set its stamp
We cannot light the futures lamp

The future is a wile away
A seem a dream of futures day
It can be all you would it to
But that is but a personal coup

And since we steep this earthly tea
We cannot know what e’er will be

Dear Seymour,

Thank you for helping us to "See More."
In classical Hebrew, there is no present tense.  The nearest word to the present is the word "now".  Yet, now is active.  Time was a matter of practicality.  No one captures the present tense.  We are then left with the past and the future.  We live facing one or the other.  To face the past is a delusion for it is gone.  We then live on the edge of what will be or better, what could be. So we live with the right foot in the past and the left foot in the future.  I use right and left poetically. The edge of the future is a moving frontier. Thanks Seymour for saying all this is a lovely way.
