Sleepless night
Thoughts abound
Angel's voice
The only sound

Whispering softly
In my ear
Loving words
All I hear

Finally, sleep
Tossing, restless
Dream of you
Leaves me breathless

Longing heart
Pounding, beating
Tender touch
Lips meeting

Warm embrace
Intimate, soft
Passion, love
Held aloft

Eyes open
Empty bed
Morning sunlight
Aching head

Another day
Alone, lonely
Loving you
You, only.
