                             come
                      let me share
                        serene
                      you need it now
                       and I need to share
                               let us be then
                              quiet as a lake shore
                                     in the fog
                                        where crickets
                                            are too damp
                                                 to sing
                                           and even whippoorwill
                                               finally rests
                                       while the unseen fishes
                                          merely wait
                                    until the dawn
                                always we have
                            enough serene
                             for two to share
                                 two seem to need
                                      half as much
                                            as one alone

for me...for one I love....and for all

This is a gift to many, my friend... I didn't have time for PIP today... but peeked in and saw your title... and hoped a read would leave a bit of the chaos behind. *S*

That may have been hoping for a miracle... but those hopes were fulfilled. *S* Even the form of your words is respite from the boxy world work delivers. *S* The images invite peace... and the ending... how very true! *S*

You don't post often enough... but you're always worth waiting for. *S* This is so lovely!!

Oh, I'm here often enough~~but I don't often post, mainly just read~~so that when I do put a poem up, people have pretty much forgotten who I am.

There are always changes occuring on a shoreline, be it lake or ocean.  It replicates the ebb and flow of life, which I see in your gentle poem...like love which crests and falls in the boundaries of our being.  Lovely.

Jamie, a good thing about Passions...

is that we get to visit archives,
and find special moments
of tender poems.
