Grace
and lace
and emptiness
and
tiny teeny
mightiness
with the sculptures
it is as if
it's on the shell -

seldom
licking lips
in hell
leaving
all the singing
bells

Ringing
hungrily and
"yes"
is carving
into the bleed
of this -
the feed
the starving bit
of
greed

of bliss... was this--

the birds are need
of underneath
the olive leaf
is heavy
in the birded beak

aflight

working wingedly for peace

and habits kiss

as if

they were

a damned machine

a pigeon's plea -

a mustard seed

on the draft

and "yes"

is madness

nodding

"blessed"

we dressed

ourselves in crack

and laughed

we conned ourselves

redemption

trashed--

slumped

in shoulder'd

loneliness;

and rabbits laugh;

when they're scared--

They scream.

Then they pray they're cute enough

to hop away

intact

while the rhubarb grows.

Love you lady.

A little reminiscent of Emily Dickinson, with a light seasoning of ee cumings - but even more exquisite and even more interesting.  This is a masterpiece of masterpieces, but as delicate as a snowflake, and as unique in its composition.  Can poetry get better than this?  If it can, it is beyond my ability to conceive the possibility.

incredible write lady...
just had to comment on the bunnies...we have babies at our house...not more than 3 or 4 inches long, and they are the most adorable things I have had in a long time, they make me smile when nothing else will...my grandson tells me 'come on grandma, let's go bug the bunnies'

Oooooh, luminosity, please give the bunny babies a gentle one-finger stroke each and send them my South African love.

Sorry I haven't been around much, Karen.  I'm taking this in and rolling it around...and shaking my head.  (Tim signed up today.....sigh.)
