Princess Misha

Friday morning I kissed you goodbye
Since then, I haven’t seen you come by
I lit a candle for you in the window
I hope you choose that light to follow

For weeks I waited days and nights
In the darkness and the light
I called your name and looked around
I searched everywhere, even in town

Then one morning, a knock on my door
I lost my smile. I’ve seen that look before
It wasn’t time for joy and “fiesta”!
“I think I found your princess Misha”

I rush outside tears in my eyes
I scan around and there your body lies
In Pain and terror I crumble down and cry
Why did you have to leave us so early, why?

I know I will never have an answer
But I’ve moved on and things are easier
Time has gone by since that painful day
We’ll always remember you in a very special way

Misha was very dear to us. She was the first cat we (hubby and I) adopted together.

But we moved on, and now we got two lovely fluffy furry girls. Kashew (left) and Tiana (right). They are so very spoiled...

Rainclouds lie in your tears, sunshine in your heart. When you cry from happiness, you glow as a rainbow. - Marie-Ève C.
