I

don’t know

but

do you

ever think

about

options

choices

that grow

or

do you

ever wonder

about

victory

or loss

that is

coming

when life

becomes

yearning

to know

Nope -- I take what comes.

I like your style in this....simple, direct, incisive, just the essence.

Ye be not a "Simpleton", dear man!

~ and this unpoem is actually a profound true poem!

Yes, dear icebox, but it is the thinking that becomes one's undoing so perhaps it is time to "take what comes" and just run with it.  Anyway, I like what we all get from you - thanks.

icebox

Choices and options, yes...all the time.  Victory or loss....not so much...but I am always yearning to know things. I also agree with EA...You are not a simpleton, but instead, very complex!

I love the construction of this one.  Simplicity, with impact.

Oh yes...I think, but maybe a simple one like this could make me think like that more often.
Nice :-)

Dear Icebox,

Thanks for making us think.  Life is choice and there is always that path or paths we neverknow where they may have led. Some of the replies to this poem are stoic and this is sad.
