I know ivory
either to hunt or to play
and the keys of my existence
are not found in the tunes I warble
where brass goblets dribble sour wine
and some people move to a different beat,
a bump and grind, ground down

And ivory sings,
smooth whiteness
bears witness to the cruelty of man
no greater than the cruelty of woman
who wears soft hair, draped like a chestnut canopy
over ivory shoulders
with liquid crystal eyes
made perfect by laser precision

Showing ivory passion
untouchable, like her
glinting from behind swollen ruby treasures
slightly ‘twee’ I thought but righteous
so very righteous
in this place where sinners,
and hunters of ivory lay claim
for a night, or an hour.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

And ivory sings,
smooth whiteness

Yes... it does... and once heard, the melody can never be forgotten... it resonates within a heart forever.

Beautiful write!!
