Feelings Behind the Mask

Waking to the pounding
of much needed thought (and rain)
Uncertainty pushing the matter of time
projecting shadows on the wall,
tempered in a warmth
flowing through this body
trying to remember...

trying to remember

when a walk hand in hand
was painted in raindrops, not caring.
Clothing clinging to a youthful body,
lips no longer parched,
answers to questions just in being.
A life unfinished, yet trapped in words
challenged by them...

challenged by them

to possibilities in wait,
a wildflower among weeds
on the edge of crossing over
to be replanted where empty spaces
will no longer be second thoughts
and someone will stop
to take notice...

once again.

M

Maureen....

my God, girl...and a few my Goddesses too...

you hit home with this one.

Bless your loving heart.

I needed this today.  I needed it "bad".
Thank you for the good.
