I am like the remaining sand on our beaches weathered and worn.

Each day I feel the constant pounding and pressure of change.

I try to adjust but the toil is too great for me to bare.

So I find myself like the other grains of sand on the beach left to my fate.

Tom, it's been a long time! I have been wondering how you have be faring, and by the weariness, angst and despair in your words, I gather things have been very difficult for you. I am so sorry to hear that, Dear Man In Blue.

The media coverage of the fall-out from Katrina may have died down, but the struggles of those who survived it, have not. The trials and tribulations can wreak havoc in one's personal life as well.

P.S. Please continue to write of your feelings. You do it so well and I think that it is good for you to emote. Policemen tend to hold so much in ~ I know, I was married to one.

Thank you I have limited time to write these days and being inspired to write positive is tough.

Trying to reach that point again.

Tom, I know that you WILL reach "that point again". It's all a matter of time ~ and I hope that that time comes soon for you. You've been embattled and burned (and brave!!!) ~ but the time will come when all these trials are behind you.

In the meantime, please write when you can and share with us how you are feeling ~ and faring.
