The Lottery

Life is like a lottery
A broken piece of pottery
Very few can see the whole
Or touch in life another soul

We deal with pieces on the ground
Try to glue the pot to sound
Some will even hold a piece
And try to make a lifetime lease

I say to you do not despair
You are a piece just waiting there
Waiting to be made again
You are a novice catechumen

The lottery is you my friend
And will be to a future end
Of all the pieces on the ground
Would you be the lucky one found?

Stay in line and wait your turn
And you’ll become your final urn

Seymour...Thoughtful words my friend. Enjoyed
Now as for that winning lottery ticket, I believe we are all wasting our money but as long as there is a chance of winning I will keep standing in line...Paul

I would have sworn I'd responded to this... if anyone finds my mind, I hope they send it home. *S*

As for luck... I'm all out. *S* Or at least I thought I was until I read this and remembered the joy your words bring me. *S*

Sy, I think that becoming my final urn doesn't fill my heart with joy!

Poem is good but it's heartless to post it right after I missed the Florida lottery for 81 million last week by only five numbers! I was SURE I had the right numbers!

Which one should I play?     The one where I wait for my number to come up?   Or    The one where I scratch away and remove what is hiding the riches?
As always...Wonderful write!

Dear Seymour,

"Stay in line and wait our turn
And in the end I'll be holding my urn!"

I believe the real person simply lives within a earthen suit and at death, the suit is taken off, but the real I Am lives on!
