There's a bond with a sister that's one of a kind,
It's a blend of devotion, and friendship combined.

It's the comfort of knowing, that somebody's there
to show understanding, to help and to care ..
It's the sharing of memories, to treasure together,
There's a bond that is one of the most loving ever.

With smiles to share and reasons to care,
Right from the start, a place in the heart.
Laughter and tears, down through the years,
With never a need to pretend.
Always a way, in the rush of the day
to think of my sister, my friend.

There's a magical closeness in all that we do
That happens so easily with a sister like you !

Happy Happy Birthday Chrislane!!

Nancy, this lovely poem on sisterly love, is touching and sweet. You an Chris are both so fortunate to have each other.

Happy Birthday, Chris! One of your greatest gifts is standing by your side in that photo with Robbie Burns.

May this day mark the beginning of new and wonderful adventures!

Hugs to two of my favourite sisters,

Linda

Nancy...Beautiful words. Two sisters sharing a common bond what else could be greater.
I really like the picture also.

I wrote one a few years back for my two grand daughters titled " Sisters " it is a gift I hope they keep and remember forever, just like you and Chris...Paul

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them

Oh good grief!  How did I miss this?  Anyway I am here now to tell you two that you look like mischievious monkeys in that picture - but then I hear that is what sisters do look like most of  the time.  A loving write Nancy Lee for a very special treasure here at Pipps.  Happy Birthday Chrislane.

Awesome!  I am a bit envious, too.  I just saw my sister for the first time in 13 years this March.  She's a redhead, too.  Like Chris, my mascara was everywhere but where it was supposed to be!  LOL  You are absolutely right, there is nothing like love between sisters!

I have two sisters--one I get along with fairly well, and the other--well, I know that'll happen someday! (She's 15 now, so we haven't gotten to that stage quite yet. lol) What a beautiful birthday poem this was--I'm very late in replying, but I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed this!
