Where All Love Goes

I often regret
some letters get lost
some poems never finish
some dreams are tossed

most times though
you won't find me
I'm on the road
the off-ramp behind me

living is sad
even somewhat tragic
I don't believe in love
like a child sees magic

children live in a beautiful place
where letters, poems, and dreams embrace-
carried by a river imagination bestows
up the mountain to the sky it flows
and runs through heaven, I suppose...

yes, that must be where all love goes.

~

Ohhh!  I'm blinking back tears with this one.  It's stunning and true, and it a good thing there is a child somewhere in all of us!

Lovely, passing shadows!  Sadness can be wrapped in, and comforted by, the beauty of nature, which is God's reminder of His love for everyone of us, which is the best of all kinds of love.

Very evocative render of poetic philosophy presented in such a pleasant insightful way.
