I Sit

I sit upon this earth of birth
Counting up my worldly worth
I count it with my tongue to cheek
For some I tweak I cannot speak

There is a sum I cannot place
Where some my tongue extends my face
But all in all that I recall
For most of it I had a ball

I do regret the time I spent
Looking for forever’s vent
For now I know I could not stay
This way forever and a day

For even in my wildest dream
I could not fit forever’s seem
I lack the ripen of this fruit
The final toot the music’s flute

So now I seek but dignity
My entrance to infinity

"So now I seek but dignity"
isn't that what we all want?

Good Morning, Sy
Good write as always

I'd sacrifice dignity for one more dance. *S*

I like this very much, my friend. *S*

Oh, Mr. T., may thy fruity flute forever toot with dignity into infinity!
