Henry awoke from his hallucinogenic slumber. Eyes flickering wildly searching for destination sight. Surveying his surroundings a sense of anguish spiralled through his unkempt body. The dawn of realisation hits home like a cannon ball. He was still living at his parents, devoid of privacy and self esteem.
Next stop was the travel from bedroom to the mire of the bathroom. Now usually the bathroom was a haven of cleanliness, however once Henrys’ older brothers had slovenly washed themselves for work earlier that morning the scene is more like the changing rooms at the local swimmers whereby dirty towels and clothes are strewn all over the place. Still once he became accustomed to this morning ritual his original anger subsides to that of feigned contentment. Looking into the steamy bathroom mirror he sees a face ravaged by disappointments and failed endeavours. A wry smile dances to the corner of his lips teasing his inner soul to do something about it.
Today will be that day.
Wiping the dream induced drool from his unshaven chin and the yellow gunk from the corners of his blood shot eyes a sense of steely determination echoed throughout his overweight body.
Enough was enough. Things will change for the better for Henry if he truly believes that they will.

Self pity and irrational hatred of the world is no longer a reason to dwell on. Fear of life is the biggest obstacle to overcome. Only the brave will ever truly gain satisfaction from this once only mortal lifetime. The next world will hold its own rules and regulations whereby the deeds done in our previous life will shape the level of love and joy we will experience in the afterlife.
