It's just little things that make me think
that maybe somethings wrong.
Like... How she no longer has the time
to listen to my songs.
Like... The way she always seems to be
on that dadgum internet.
Always typing to a somebody
she says she's never met.

I remember back when we first met
and Cupid shot his darts.
I know I never will forget
the love that filled our hearts.
I remember well the joyful day
that we agreed to share this life.
Now it seems that Cupid shot
a poisoned arrow in my wife.

It used to be that I'd come home
and find her waiting at the door.
Now the negligee don't come out
out of the dresser anymore.
When I get home in the evenings
I have to ring the bell and knock.
Yeah, I think its quite peculiar
that my key don't fit the lock.

She took my bluetick hound to school
To teach him how to guard
Now every day I find new ways
to sneak into my yard.
She wraps my lunch up in a road map
and makes me fuel my truck each day.
Its becoming pretty clear to me
that Cupid flew away.

She keeps playing the same record
BB King ....   The Thrill is Gone.
I guess there's no use in denying
that it's time that I moved on.
On our recent anniversary
I gave her a diamond ring.
She gave me a necklace...
It was a compass on a string.

Yeah, I think a storm is brewing
overtop our happy home.
With cold shoulders and icy stares
that chill me to the bone.
Maybe I'm just paranoid...
Maybe nothings changed.
But...  She buys alot of  D-Con
and the foods been tasting strange.

Oops!  I hope this is not based on reality.  Somehow, from previous posts of yours, I don't think it is.  Very well done, either way.
