Love Is Like a Short Order Cook

Sometimes love is like a short order cook.
Don't think so?...Take another look!

Did you ever order your love over easy,
but got it scrambled instead?
Did you order love sooo wheat,
and wonder, "Is this really bread?"

And I know you've had loves cheeseburger!
That succulent picture on the menu cover?
Yeah you did!...Didn't you?
But what you got was soybeans,
and not prime lover.

And we've all had loves french fries,
those tasty little morsels you couldn't do without!
But when they hit your thighs,
somebody cries and somebody walks out.

Yeah! Sometimes love is like a short order cook,
and he works at a greasy spoon.
If you hadn't ordered yet,...
I bet you will soon!

It's not how the food looks or where it goes, it's how it tastes!

Same thing with love! If it's sweet, it's worth any price! Pigtails

Happy eatin' 'n lovin'!

Coffee is good PS, would you not have a pastry to go with your coffee? Garanteed to be fresh! :-)

Thank you Toerag, send Balladeer to Mabels Place down on 34th and de-vine he can have a cheeseburger and they'll pump his gas for him. :-)

Thank you Earth Angel, yeah ugly food can be mighty tasty. It's when you don't get what you order that's hard to swallow! :-)

"Did you ever order your love over easy,
but got it scrambled instead?
Did you order love sooo wheat,
and wonder, "Is this really bread?"

LOL   Yeah, all that fast food can be hard on the heart.   I'm glad I gave up the "Special of the Day" and settled down to home cooking.

Never will look at love quite the same way!
Interesting comparison that got me grinning.

I love this one. Had both bad food and bad love and didn't like either one.

Interesting look at love, I haven't thought of it that way before, but you're right, love is kinda like a short order cook

Love lends herself to laughter Androgynous. Love is much more or much less depending on how she's been treating me. :-) Love back to ya! :-)

Yes, just like that cook..... the faster the service, the more likely it'll be either raw or burned.....and the more certain you'll be of heartburn.....

I like this very much... great comparison! *S* But... food and love both nourish... the first keeps us alive... the second makes life worth living. *S*

hmmm...he used to tell me I was a dish,
He'd laugh and call me 'hot tomato'
But now he only thinks of bait and fish
and dreams--a  sleepy couch potato.

I used to be much better lookin'
but I still aim to please
tho, now the kitchen's where I'm cookin'
and mush? ....oh my...just a tease!
