Rewrite: Listen to the Breeze I launched some words upon the breeze Among the flowers, through the trees They danced a dance and echoed flack The last three words of love me back I sent them on the wind to plea Because they would not silent be They fired on my brain and tongue And burned my mouth like pepper stung Although I am not infantile My wit has gone to juvenile I hang naïve and don’t believe The love I have I can achieve It is a love of dreamers real Beyond the real of age appeal It is a love of residue Only given to very few The all of what the echo packed Was could you, would you love me back |
