You took dunes from under my feet,
you cooled the soles now tired, now beat.
You gave to me a fire in my soul
and listened softly to one bell’s toll.

You left the showers and dried the drip
You guided me slowly along a strip
of sand and soil, of mud and clay
a place designed for mindful play.

You listened as I sobbed and wailed
and held me close as both arms flailed.
A whisper given to quell a shout
and bring to pass this water’s spout.

You were once there, we’ll meet again
in quiet repose, awaited plan
until the stars fall to the sea
and soon to be wandering free.

Stargazing

~ Hold thy starry thoughts in sweet repose,
for thy paths shall cross with bloom of tomorrow's rose.

Lovely write, Barry.

Starlight dreams and roses,
